OVERVIEW
The project is located approximately 60km south east of Adelaide in South Australia.
AEL carried out the Project Definition Stage (PDS) for a 2Mtpa copper project. The PDS was a follow-on from the Bankable Feasibility Study, where AEL optimised the process plant design and capital cost prior to the full project Implementation stage. The PDS/optimisation was completed in May 2008.
The processing facility included primary crushing, crushed ore storage, SAG milling, flotation, concentrate thickening and filtration, concentrate storage and handling, reagent facilities and plant services.
AEL subsequently identified as suitable second hand processing facility for the project which was ultimately purchased by Hillgrove Resources and integrated into the project by AEL at a significant cost saving.
