OVERVIEW
The RASP Zinc Project is located in the historical mining centre of Broken Hill in NSW.
The project includes a 750,000 tpa processing facility and associated infrastructure to produce separate lead and zinc concentrates. The processing facility incorporates three stage crushing, ore storage and handling, two stage ball milling, flotation (separate lead and zinc circuits), lead and zinc regrind circuits, concentrate thickening and filtration, reagent handling, plant services, tailings disposal and a mine backfill system.
The required infrastructure associated with the processing facility includes power and water supply and distribution, site buildings and on site concentrate rail load-out facilities.
AEL completed the initial DFS in 2006 and then carried out an update to the study in 2010.
